Pronouns and Poetry
Educational Opportunity for Adults
Service Description
Designed for faculty, staff, and adult learners, this paid presentation blends poetry, education, and critical dialogue to promote inclusivity, self‑expression, and gender‑affirming practices in professional and learning environments. Princex Aimis will perform two original poems from their poetry collection, Princex in Distress — “Princex in Distress” and “Who Am I?” — followed by an engaging lecture on pronouns: what they are, why they matter, and how to use them respectfully in classrooms and workplaces. The lecture contextualizes pronoun usage within a broader historical framework, highlighting queer figures who have been erased from traditional curricula. By combining lived experience, scholarship, and performance, this presentation invites participants to deepen their understanding of gender diversity while gaining practical tools for fostering affirming environments. While this offering is recommended for adult audiences, it remains accessible and beneficial to learners of all ages, as misconceptions around pronouns and gender affirmation continue to persist across institutions. Each session concludes with an optional Q&A discussion, followed by photos and a book signing. Booking Requirements • To be eligible for this presentation, organizations must purchase a minimum of three (3) physical copies of Princex in Distress. • Organizations must also provide the listed performance fee per presentation. If the presentation is requested for multiple groups or offered at different times during the same day, a separate performance fee is required for each session. • All artist fees are non‑refundable.
